Ray Wohlfarth is an international author who has written four books on boilers under the Lessons Learned Series. He is a columnist on commercial boilers for three industry magazines, Plumbing and Mechanical, PM Engineer, Engineered Systems. He authored and taught a class for the Green Building Research Institute and is on the board of directors for WV APPA chapter

Scott Cowley, Outside Sales Representative – Mason & Barry

Scott Cowley is an outside sales representative for Mason & Barry, Inc., and is approaching his 14 year anniversary with the company.  Prior to joining the Mason & Barry team, Scott graduated from WVUIT with a BS in Industrial Technologies and an AS in Drafting and Design.  Scott began his career with Mason & Barry in hydronic sales.  Subsequently, he has had extensive experience in airside product sales and is currently a key member of the Equipment Product Division.   At Mason & Barry Scott is responsible for relations development with the Professional Engineering community as well as representing Daikin VRV sales and
applied systems sales and configuration.

Mike Machemehl, Commercial Regoinal Manager – Mitsubishi Electric Cooling

Mike Machemehl is the Commercial Regional Manager for Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating and supports the City Multi Commercial VRF product line in Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan.  A graduate of The Ohio State University, Mike is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a LEED Green Associate and has over 25 years of experience in the commercial HVAC market, including 19 years as a Trane Sales Engineer in the Columbus Ohio mark et. Mike has had many public speaking engagements in front of HVAC trade groups including multiple chapters of: AIA, ASHRAE, AEE, USGBC, OPFMA, NEBB and High Performance Building Seminars in Chicago and Cincinnati.

James is the Northeast Regional Applied Sales Manager for SEMCO LLC.  James covers Kentucky to Virginia and Northeast to Maine.  James has been with SEMCO for over a year and a half, with over 9 years of custom HVAC experience and has consulted or participated in the specification and installation in hundreds of energy recovery, dedicated outside air, and active humidification projects spanning application of hospitals, universities, K-12 and laboratories to name some.  James is a graduate of Radford University.

Kenneth is a 1993 graduate from West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He started his career working as an Engineer for McJunkin Corporation after graduating.  In 2001 he joined Casto/Trane in Charleston West Virginia as a Sales Engineer and stayed with The Trane Company when they opened their new office in Charleston.  Kenneth is involved in the day-to-day sales and technical support for engineers and contractors on all of Trane products for the central and southern regions of West Virginia.

Doug Hannum, Sales Manager – Engineered Air

Doug Hannum is the Columbus Division Sales Manager for Engineered Air. He has been in the HVAC industry for over 30 years starting out as a manufacturer representative. He joined Engineered Air in 1994 and has vast experience designing complex and custom systems for industries in Ohio and across the country. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University and attended HVAC design courses at Columbus Technical College and yearly continuing technical education from Engineered Air. Doug has been an active member of the Columbus ASHRAE Chapter, serving in many leadership roles, including the President in 2006 - 2007.

Tim is part of CaptiveAire's Application Engineering Team. He works specifically with CaptiveAire's new Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) equipment line. In this role, Tim serves as a technical expert in the application of DOAS on schools, medical centers, restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, and other commercial buildings. Prior to joining CaptiveAire, Tim worked at a nuclear power plant as an equipment reliability engineer.

Devin Abellon is the Business Development Manager for Engineering Services at Uponor. He has 19 years of experience in the HVAC industry with a focus on engineering and consulting.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is a registered professional engineer in California and Arizona.  He is an active member of ASHRAE, as a Regional Vice Chair in Region X, Programs Subcommittee Chair for ASHRAE TC 6.5 and as an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer.
